Today, September 28, within the framework of the XV Tashkent International Film Festival, a cinema named after Khudoybergan Devonov, the first cinematographer and outstanding figure of Uzbek cinema, has being opened in Khorezm region.

Mayor of Khorezm region Jurabek Rakhimov, National Artist of Uzbekistan Matyokub Matchonov, famous film director Khilol Nasimov, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Muhammadali Abdukunduzov spoke at the opening event. They noted that Khudoybergan Devonov's contribution to the development of cinema has not lost its relevance even today, that future generations will remember his rich cultural heritage.

During the opening ceremony a photo exhibition was organized for the guests, as well as an art evening dedicated to the life and work of the cameraman.

The ceremony included the presentation of the highest "Turksoy" award named after Khudoybergan Devonov.

After that, the movie "The First Swallow" was shown.

Also during the day there will be a presentation of the movie city built in the city of Urgench, where the shooting of the movie "Xiva Langari" is taking place. Representatives of foreign delegations, filmmakers, film historians, media workers and others will attend on the presentation.
