The famous XV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" featured an exciting master class from legend Natalia Varley.
The meeting of the actress began to the applause of the students, who greeted her with a song about bears, which she performs in the movie "Caucasian Captive".
The Honored Artist enthusiastically told VGIK students about her creative path and shared exciting stories from the sets of famous films such as "The Caucasian Captive" and "Viy".
- We worked on "The Caucasian Captive" from morning till night - remembers Natalia Varley. - Leonid Gaidai discarded a significant number of scenes, and as a result, the movie was incredibly short. Initially it upset us, but now I realize that it was thanks to this decision that the film acquired its unique dynamics and charm.
There was also a question from the audience, about how Natalia decided to participate in the shooting of the movie "Viy" and whether she was not afraid of the scene where she had to lie in the coffin. To this question, the actress replied that she was young and without hesitation agreed.
- Only in youth, the coffin can be a workplace," - said the actress with a smile.
The actress amazed everyone with her talent, reciting poems from her composition, singing songs and answering questions asked by the audience. Her ease and openness won the hearts of everyone present, leaving unforgettable impressions.
Natalia Varley easily carried the students back to the times of making famous movies, sharing her secrets and impressions of working with famous directors. All those who were there plunged into the atmosphere of the movie industry of the past years and had a unique opportunity to feel themselves a part of this exciting world.
