The XV Tashkent International Film Festival has started today.
This year, delegations from more than 30 countries have arrived, and more than 50 films will be presented at screenings in the capital. One of them is the movie "Uzbek Girl". The performer in the role of Asya Kulik, Elizaveta Shukova, also arrived at the film festival and spoke about her first impressions of the international event.
- This is my first time at this film festival," said theater and film actress Elizaveta Shukova. - Last year we presented the movie "Uzbek Girl", but we couldn’t manage to visit. This year we are insanely happy that we are here. You have such amazingly beautiful, bright, national costumes are incredibly beautiful. We hope that our arrival will further strengthen cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus, and we will make more joint films and please the audience. I am insanely happy that I was received so well, they remember my role in this movie. I would like to note that it was a pleasure to work with my Uzbek colleagues. I expect to see a lot of interesting projects from the film festival, as well as to watch our film on the big screen, to get acquainted with the culture and strengthen our cooperation.
The XV Tashkent International Film Festival is being held for the third time after resuming its creative path by the presidential decree. In 1958, the first International Film Festival was held in Tashkent. Since 1968, the Tashkent International Film Festival of Asia, Africa, and Latin America has been held regularly, every two years until 1988. In 2021, it got a new life, and the total time of its organization with interruptions amounted to 65 years.
