As part of the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”, a number of events entitled “115 years of Uzbek cinema” related to the history of Uzbek national cinema will be held. In particular, the opening ceremony of photo exhibitions dedicated to the masters of Uzbek cinema Khudoybergan Devonov and Nabi Ganiev will be organized.
A photo exhibition “65 years of memory of Malik Gayumov”, a Retro Cinema and a Cinema Cafe will also be opened.
The pavilions of the Uzbekfilm film concern will also present co-production projects “Jami and Navoi” (Uzbekistan-Tajikistan), “Ulug Amir and Donna Maria” (Uzbekistan-Turkey-Hungary) and others.
As part of the festival, a “Cinema Caravan” will be organized to the regions of Uzbekistan. At the same time, it is planned to open the Khudoybergan Devonov cinema in the Khorezm region, visit the film city and a number of events dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Uzbek dubbing.
