The world-famous Serbian director and actor Emir Kusturica, winner of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, is going to take part in the 15th Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".

Emir Kusturica is expected to walk the red carpet and give a concert at the festival’s closing ceremony.

This very performance may be the last in Kusturica’s musical career for the near future, since Emir plans to take a break to start working on a new film.

Emir Kusturica is a Serbian director and screenwriter, winner of numerous film awards, including the Palme d'Or, Golden Lion, Silver Bear and Cesar Award. Kusturica’s most iconic works are When Father Was Away on Business, Arizona Dream, Black Cat, White Cat, Life Is a Miracle and Maradona.
