Within the framework of the XV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" the opening of the European Film Festival was held with the participation of the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan Charlotte Adrian and the head of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov.

The EU representatives thanked Maria Musakova, representative of Focus Film School, for her contribution to film education of the younger generation. They noted the educational project for teenagers EU-FOCUS FILM CAMP, which was launched this summer by the school of cinema and theater FOCUS with the financial support of the European Union. Training there is free of charge and includes versatile theoretical training, master classes, film screenings, meetings with domestic and foreign experts, filming practice.

Firdavs Abdukhalikov, head of the Cinematography Agency, has also initiated to allocate financial resources to this film school for the development of promising projects.
