A creative meeting with Karim Kadyrbayev, a famous Kazakh actor, screenwriter and film critic, was held as part of the Tashkent International Film Festival.
At this creative meeting, he gave detailed information about the comedy genre in Kazakhstan to young film students. In Kazakhstan, the roots of the comedy genre go back to the 50s, and there the main theme is family, the guest said. Currently, the most successful comedy film belongs to Shaken Aimanov, whose work has grossed a million dollars and is the only film in Central Asia with a million-dollar budget in the comedy genre.
In addition, the film critic noted the successes, advantages and disadvantages of Kazakhstan films. "Kazakhstan film comedies definitely emphasize family values and call for their preservation," he noted.
At the end of the creative meeting, Karim Kadyrbayev answered all the questions of the students.
