Hayk Ordyan, producer and director (Armenia)
- I am attending the Tashkent Film Festival for the first time. However, last year my film was already presented in the program of festival. At the moment we are actively developing the first Uzbek-Armenian project. It is a feature-length film. Speaking about the film festival, I can mention an important component of it - master classes and creative meetings. After all, they are all aimed at young people. Why is this important? If we want to see good, quality cinema in our countries tomorrow, we must cultivate qualified specialists today. The Tashkent International Film Festival has already taken its place in the list of film festivals of the world. It is talked about and recognized. This is the best indicator of the festival.
Azamat Satybaldy, President of Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm JSC
- It is not the first year we come to the festival. Every year the festival becomes more and more large-scaled. I am confident that it will pick up the pace. For Uzbekistan, this film festival is a real basis, the foundation of the entire film industry of the country. If there are some scientific approaches in the process of the festival, the cinema will develop, because cinema is also a kind of science. I would like such an important festival to live and flourish for a long time.
Aida Abdullayeva - cultural activist (Italy)
- Uzbek films should be shown more abroad. I am very glad to take part in such a grandiose event as the Tashkent Film Festival for the second time. Interesting films are always shown here. I am sure that such an event is simply necessary. Moreover, Uzbek films should be shown more abroad. In Italy, for example, at the Venice Film Festival. The world should know more about Uzbek films.
