Janik Fayziev: Tashkent Film Festival is a conductor of world culture
The XV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" started on September 29 and will continue until October 2.
Dzhanik Faiziev, a film actor, film and television director, screenwriter and producer, shared his impressions of the large-scale event. His arsenal includes such films as "Cosmoball", " The Turkish Gambit", "Admiral" and many others. Of his recent works as an actor - "Monastyr" 2022, which also starred Filipp Yankovsky and Anastasia Ivleeva. He will also hold a master class in Tashkent.
- This year, the organizers of the film festival have done a great job and a large number of guests came," said Dzhanik Faiziev. - The Cannes winner Justine Trieu's movie "Anatomy of a Fall" was at the opening, which is a great rarity even for major festivals. The program was prepared rich. In this regard, not only ordinary viewers, but also filmmakers may be interested in the films at the screenings. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the Tashkent Film Festival, because it is such a conduit of world culture. On the platform of the international event, we have agreed with representatives of India and Uzbekistan to develop a joint project called "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves". It is too early to talk about the details, there is hard and long work to be done, but there is no other way. I always come to Tashkent with great pleasure, I see my friends and enjoy the city. Unfortunately, I only got away for two days. It is always a thrill and excitement for me to participate in master classes, it seems that people expect more than I can give, so there is a constant anxiety about it.
