
50 students of film schools of the world in the beginning of September will come to Uzbekistan to compete for the title of the best
Representatives of leading film schools of the world will take part in International Youth Program "Cinema in five days" which will be held in the framework of XIV Tashkent International Film Festival.
- Holding this contest is already becoming a good festival tradition. For example, about 35 young filmmakers from 11 countries took part in it in 2021. This year, only film school students will take part," says Firdavs Abdukhalikov, director general of the Film Agency. - Among them are the State Film and Television Institute of India, Bahcesehir University (Turkey), the Leon Schiller Higher State School of Cinematography, Television and Theatre (Poland), the Rustaveli Georgian State University of Theatre and Film, China Film Archive (China), the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (Moldova), and many others. The geography of the project has also expanded. Now children from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and others will visit Uzbekistan.
The participants will visit 20 locations in different regions of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the participants - to apply all their knowledge, skills and creativity and create short films on the theme "Uzbekistan - the pearl of the Great Silk Road" just in 5 days.
The winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the Tashkent International Film Festival to be held in Samarkand.
