Famous Indian actor shared his thoughts within the film festival

 

— I heard about the Tashkent International Film Festival when I was a little boy. I knew the prestige of festival at that time from the visit of our most famous actor Raj Kapoor and his participation. Yesterday I attended the opening ceremony of the festival and amazed to see that your people have so much information and respect to our state. At the same time, I should say that the major international festival, which has been suspended for some time, has been organized at a high level by the government of Uzbekistan. As a witness, representatives of the cinema from all continents are visiting, increasing the prestige of the festival. This festival plays an important role not only in our country, but also in the development of Uzbek cinema. A big step has been taken for the start of the festival, this process will continue on a regular basis. 

— You started acting quite late. Why did not you dare to do this earlier?

— There were suggestions from the directors, but did not insist on this. I was distracted by other things and did not have time to act. Maybe honestly I did not dare to do this. But after 40 years I played my first big role in the movie “Munnaboy" and suddenly I got to the attention of the fans. That's how it all began. roles in the series increased my confidence in myself and love for acting.

— Does not make it difficult for you to play comedian roles?

— No, it does not matter to me what genre the role is. I also play dramatic, comedic roles as one. The main thing is to be seriously prepared for the role. Only if you can do the role yourself, then playing it will not be difficult.
