Tashkent International Film Festival inspires stars
Honored artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rano Shodiyeva answered our questions about the film festival
- As a representative of the host country, what do you expect from the Tashkent International Film Festival, which was revived after 24 years?
"I am very happy that the prestigious international film festival, which unites many nations, has been revived. When we went to a lot of festivals, we heard very warm things about this film festival, they said it needed to be revived. As a young actress, I can't answer as they expected, but I would say that, God will, there will be another film festival. Look at this, our intention is sincere - the festival is back.” restored. The previous film festival was very valuable and inspiring for me. That is, I won a prize at the 1997 film festival. I won the Best Debut Actor award for my role in Kamara Kamolova's "All Covered in White Snow." It was a great pleasure for the young actress, who had just entered the world of cinema at that time, to win a prize at the International Film Festival. What inspired me to be an actress today was the motivation for my first award. This year's film festival will be attend filmmakers and representatives of the film industry from many foreign countries. Of course, I hope that they will see our historical places and then shoot their films there and introduce our country to the world.
- Which countries will you accompany at the film festival?
- I will accompany the Russian filmmakers who will visit the film festival. If we are lucky, we will show the Russian guests the most beautiful places in our country and give information about our film industry. I think this festival will be as rich and memorable as before.
