Member of the working group of the Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road" shared his pre-festival impressions

- I am very glad to hear that more than 40 countries are interested in participating in the Tashkent International Film Festival in September. We are confident that this film festival will be a turning point for Uzbek cinema. I think that this film festival will be rich in many happy events, news and inspirations not only for Uzbek filmmakers, but also for our foreign partners. Every work of our filmmakers provides spiritual and educational nourishment to the audience. That is the responsibility we must always bear in mind. The peculiarity of the new Uzbekistan is that our country, which has entered the 3rd renaissance, is responding to cooperation with foreign countries, trying to find its place on the world stage. It is worthwhile to hold an international film festival in our capital during such a busy period. Filmmakers visiting our country as part of the film festival will bring their worldviews, traditions and changes in the new era, which are reflected in the films they bring with them. In the same way, they get to know our people better through our movies. This kind of consensus, of course, works in the world of cinema. I am sure that after this film festival, our filmmakers will create films of a higher level.
