The 13th Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road", revived at the initiative of the head of state after a break of almost a quarter of a century, has been officially declared closed.
Over the course of a week, 10 important documents were signed as part of the festival, which brings together the best examples of world cinema in recent years and world-renowned filmmakers. ”Uzbekfilm” has taken on a new look and its technical equipment has been formed. The opening of the branch of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography was celebrated. The National Film Fund has been restored and the original masterpieces of Uzbek cinema have been returned to the Motherland.
In short, the film festival, which combines a number of noble deeds, provided an opportunity for representatives of the world film industry to get acquainted with the best examples of uzbek cinema and filmmakers. The festival featured more than 50 events, meetings, roundtables, conferences, presentations and more than a hundred films. The most important thing is that the festival has left an indelible impression on the hearts of our people, especially our youth.
