Plot: A film about the Belarusian bison. In ancient times, the bison inhabited most of Europe, the Caucasus, and Transcaucasia. But by the 19th century it was practically exterminated.
The film will tell about the long, painstaking work to revive the species. In 1946, bison came from Belovezha across the border to Belarus. There were five of them. Five bison that marked the beginning of the revival of the species in our country. Now the bison is an example of how a person can help nature and correct his crimes against it. Today bison live not only in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, but also in Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, in the Polessky Reserve, in Red Bor, in the Grodno region. The total number of bison living in Belarus in the wild, exceeded 1500. Today Belarus ranks first in the number of free-living bison!
