
Yusuf Razykov, a laureate of international film festivals, will present an Uzbek-Tajik film project at the Tashkent Film Festival
At the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival there will be presentation of a joint Uzbek-Tajik film project "Navoi and Jami". The film is created by the Film Agency of Uzbekistan and state institution "Tojikfilm".
The memorandum on creation of films was signed in 2021 at XIII Tashkent International Film Festival. By this time the literary scenario of the picture is ready. At present it is under consideration by the Art Council of both countries.
- This unique project can be called a vivid example of the policy of good neighborliness and openness pursued by the New Uzbekistan", says Firdavs Abdukhalikov, General Director of the Cinematography Agency. - Such cooperation with countries of the world restores lost bridges between cinematographers of the world. The main idea of the film is the immutable and wise message: "Progress and prosperity will surely come where peace and enlightenment rule.
In the near future in Tashkent will pass casting of main actor’s film "Navoi and Jami". It is expected that actors in their roles will be presented to participants of XIV Tashkent International Film Festival. A special event of the festival will be the presentation of the film's set to the participants of the festival.
Historical fiction film "Navoi and Jami" tells about the friendship between two great poets of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Their wisdom and diplomatic talent helped to resolve military conflicts, the reign of peace and develop enlightenment and education in Temurid Khorasan. The film will be directed by Yusuf Razykov.
Another joint Uzbek-Tajik work - a melodrama "Invisible star" will also be presented to the participants of the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival. At present, a casting session for the actors who will be involved in the film is underway.
The film tells the love story of a Tajik girl who came to Uzbekistan to study and an Uzbek boy.
It is planned that shooting the picture will begin in mid-October this year. Filming will take place in Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, Dushanbe and Khujand.
It should be noted that a memorandum on the creation of the film was signed by the leadership of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan and "Tojikfilm" at the XIII Tashkent International Film Festival in 2021.
