J: we are glad to see you in Uzbekistan, have you been here before? What changes did you notice today? What surprised you?
M.Ch: I came to Tashkent for the first time when we worked in a joint film, we were here for a month, I knew little about Uzbeks frankly. Today I came to Tashkent and could not hide my surprise. Seeing the huge changes in the airport itself, I felt like I am coming to the European city. Of course, your beautiful, kind people are also doing changes. There have been very close friendly relations between Uzbekistan and India from time immemorial and today these relations continue not only in all spheres of cinema and serials. And these just rejoice me. I can say that by coming to Tashkent, I witnessed Uzbekistan reaching a new stage of development and opening up its beauty.
J: Describe the New Uzbekistan in three words
M.Ch: Amazing, beautiful, hospitality
J: what can you say about the role of uzbek films in Central Asia?
M.Ch: It is necessary to rise to a new level by technique. Uzbek film industry should further enhance cooperation. I want uzbek films to be released to the world. Cooperation and development are necessary.
J: your favorite city in Uzbekistan?
M.Ch: I have been in many places, but Tashkent is a favorite of all for me.
J. Do you think that through the Tashkent International Film Festival, what opportunities will the New Uzbekistan present to the world?
M.Ch: At the same time, I can say that the holding of the Tashkent International Festival in Uzbekistan is a very important event. Many stars visit from different points of the world. Activities such as these promote state. Each star, who is here, shares his memories, impressions, comrades. The opinion of the stars certainly do not ignore many people. Naturally, interest in Uzbekistan will increase even more. Economy, the image of the State rises.
J: What is important to you in life? What are you afraid of losing?
M.Ch: I am a film actor, at the same time I am the father of four children. I am the head of the family. I always want to be a loved one, to be needed and always try to give this love. But today in our lives there are increasing numbers of people who think negatively. One truth is that a person who thinks negative will never win
My family is the most important for me, I'm afraid to lose it. Film is a part of my life. At meetings, you are surrounded by a crowd, the autograph asks, says that they love. But family love is the most dearest for me.
At the meeting, the Genera director of the Cinematography agency F.Abdukhalikov interested in how M.Chakraborti would react if the role was played by taking a collaborative film. M.Chakraborti said that he could agree that he would only be happy with the partnership.
