Fergana's khonatlas fascinated the Kenyan director

The young director  is filming about the famous silk fabric of the valley

 

Within the framework of the film festival on the project “Cinema in 5 days”, filmmakers from 23 countries visit our country are filming films in different regions of the Republic. Kenyan filmmaker Robert Gitiche wants to shoot a short film called” The Legend of Khonatlas". At the same time, he is in the Kokand city of Fergana region and started his own business. In the short film, talented actors of the Fergana theater perform roles.

The film tells the story of the rich culture of Fergana, the specific customs and traditions of the valley. The main images of the film are shot in the ancient Xudoyorxon palace. The reason why the director made a film about the famous khonatlas, this fabric of our country attracted the attention of the director. Through this film, Robert Gitiche aims to bring Uzbek culture to his country as well.
