Tashkent International Film Festival also evokes film journalists from Uzbekistan
The well-known art journalist Shohira Hamro touched upon the questions posed to her at the Cannes Film Festival
– At the Tashkent International Film Festival, we repeat that there is an important event in our cinema-it is a bot, but we do not think about its impact on our journalism. Indeed, this film brings a new spirit to our state. This event is to show itself from our filmmakers and to study experiences from their coming foreign colleagues, the most important thing is to show that this festival is held as a holiday in our state. Here you see, our people will have impressions about film festival, we will be informed by journalists. We have to admit, we have a little bit of cinema journalistics flowing in. It is precisely this film that brings out journalists who can show themselves in the field, who can understand the processes in the world of cinema, I think that the industry will come alive. I also hope that foreign filmmakers will be able to give a good sense of motivation to our filmmakers, artists. The Tashkent International Film Festival has also been held for a while, but since it was held regularly before it, people still remember it. Even when I participated in two competitions at the Cannes festival, foreigners asked about the restoration of the Tashkent International Film Festival. At that time I could not say anything about the restoration of this festival. I have not imagined that years have passed since then that it would be held with great solemnity in our state. Here we took our first step towards that film festival that missed people after a long break, we restored it. My intention is to make this festival becomes a prestigious event, which, like other international film festivals, will be held continuously and will make people look forward to.
