President has signed a Resolution on holding the Tashkent International Film Festival

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a Resolution "On the Revival and Holding of the Tashkent International Film Festival."

According to the document, the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Film Festival organized by the Cinema Agency of Uzbekistan will be held every year from September 28 to October 3 starting from the current year.

For information, the Tashkent Film Festival, also known as the International Film Festival of Asia, Africa and Latin America, was held by the State Committee of Cinematography and the Union of Cinematographers in late May - early June from 1968 to 1997.

This year, the Film Festival under the motto "Peace, Development and Enlightenment" will be attended by 355 foreign filmmakers, including 55 famous film stars.

The Festival will host master classes for young cinematographers with the participation of renowned experts and directors, creative meetings, film trainings, round tables, film exhibitions in the regions, screenings of the best domestic and foreign films.

We recall that today the Cinema Agency will host a meeting on the renewal of the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Film Festival. Cinema experts, famous filmmakers, media and youth representatives are invited to participate in the event. During the meeting, the participants will discuss the Festival Program and its holding.
