The closing ceremony of the Tashkent International Film Festival took place

Today, the recently opened Renaissance Cinema and Concert Hall in Tashkent has hosted the closing ceremony of the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Film Festival, which started on September 28.
The ceremony began with the demonstration of a video that included footage of the IFF events, creative meetings, grand premieres, reception of foreign delegations and trips to the regions.
The ceremony included awarding of the winners of the Cinema in 5 Days competition. In particular, the young director Sherzod Nazarov was awarded the Grand Prix for his short film Silk Road recognized as the best in the competition.
At the Tashkent International Film Festival, the award ceremony took place in the following nominations: Tursunboy Pirjanov was awarded as the Best Actor, Madina Makhmudova - as the Best Actress, and others.
The winners of the World Youth Cinema in New Uzbekistan competition have also been announced and  presented with a special statuette and memorable gifts of the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Film Festival on the stage.
The guests enjoyed a show concert with the participation of famous foreign and Uzbek pop stars.
